Free party organiser !

A successful party is not only one that the kids think is great but also one that you as the host enjoy. The key to this happening is ORGANISATION! Try to get everything you possibly can completed prior to the party day. It’s important to remember it is your child's birthday and they would really enjoy helping. If you plan the preparations well, they can help and you won’t feel rushed.

We have listed below a brief party planner you may like to follow:

6 Weeks prior:

• Set the date
• Pick a theme- Choose a theme that your child really likes. If your child is old enough let your child choose their theme. By allowing your child to be part of this decision they will feel important and valued.
• Order the package

4 Weeks prior:

• Receive the package
• Send out invitations ( Parties for 0-8 years is normally a 2 hour duration as they get older you can increase the time period)
• Organise menu

2 Weeks prior:

• Confirm numbers

1 Week prior:

• Fill the lolly bags!! Children decorate their own lolly bags on arrival as an icebreaker activity so you may wish to fill some small freezer bags with the lollies and just place them in the decorated bag on the day OR get the children to fill their own lolly bag using it to place their treasures in for a treasure hunt. (when using lollies for a treasure hunt make sure they are completely wrapped)
• If you are making a cake you can cook it and freeze it a few days before.

The day before:

• Hang decorations and set up party table/room (leave balloons to the day as they may deflate)
• Prepare most food
• Make sure your camera is in working order (make sure you have spare film or if you have a digital camera or movie camera make sure the batteries are charged) It is a great idea to make the most of a friends offer to help and get one of them to be the photographer, write a list of the photos you really want and give it to them prior to the day.
• Take Cake out of freezer in the morning and decorate it when defrosted

PARTY TIME!!!
On the day:

• Complete the food preparation (don’t forget the cake!)
• Blow up balloons and don’t forget one for the letterbox
• Set up ice breaker activity (lolly bag and decorations)
