Other food and snack tips
Using Hans Li'l Frankies with little bake-at-home bread rolls is a great idea for an easy party snack. The size is great for little children's fingers. You can also use the frankies just with tomato sauce dip for a great and easy gluten free party food.

For the parents:
Caramel Slice (Gluten Free)
We had to add the recipe for our awesome favourite, the caramel slice. This slice is a certain winner wherever you go or whatever party you are hosting. Great with a cup of coffee or just as an indulgence by itself...

Base:
1 cup gluten free flour - (you can of course use normal flour)
1 cup dissicated coconut
1 cup brown sugar
100g butter melted
Caramel:
1 tin (395 grams) sweetened condensed milk
2 tablespoons golden syrup
30 grams butter
Topping 250 grams dark chocolate melts

Step 1: Mix thoroughly all the base ingredients in a bowl. Take an 18 cm by 28 cm lamington tin, lay baking paper in the bottom and empty the contents of the bowl into the tin. Flatten and compress with a spoon. Bake in oven for 5 minutes on 200 deg celcius.
Step 2: Put the condensed milk, butter and the golden syrup into a pan and boil carefully for about 5 minutes until caramel thickens. Make sure you don't burn the caramel, so stir all the time.
Step 3: Pour the caramel on top of the base, smear out evenly and bake for a further 5 minutes.
Step 4: When cool, microwave the chocolate melts for 1 minute in a plastic bowl. If chocolate has not melted completely yet, microwave for 10 seconds at a time until melted (the chocolate burns easily!). Pour chocolate over caramel and smear out. Cool in fridge for 1 hour.
Step 5: ENJOY!
